The Employee of the Month for March was announced on Friday, March 1st. Each month the company honors a peer/management-nominated employee who goes beyond simply coming in to do a job. This employee exemplifies the work ethic that is necessary in a busy plant environment, where employee and food safety are the highest priority. This well-deserved award was presented to Deb Pastorious. Deb has been a member of the Quality Assurance team for the past two years. She most recently stepped in to help with the SQF Certification supplying the newly hired QA Manger, John Shannon, with critical information ensuring a successful SQF re-certification. Her nomination by the management team noted her willingness to come in early and stay late in order to help Shannon with preparing for the audit. She also assisted Shannon during the on-boarding process the first few weeks of his employment at Taste Traditions .
Deb received a framed Certificate of Appreciation and a nice, crisp one hundred dollar bill. She may now park in the designated “Employee of the Month” Parking spot, a close walk to the plant on these many frigidly cold days. The management team and employees are grateful for Deb’s work ethic that inspires others and her daily commitment to the safe quality food being produced in the plant. She deserves this honor for the respect she shows her team, her watchful eye for the safety of the food manufactured in our plant and for going beyond what is needed in our plant each day. Congratulations Deb!
Two additional members of the Taste Traditions team were honored and thanked for their part in maintaining food safety in our plant during daily operations during February. Maricela Hinojosa and Yuliana Sanchez received a “You Saved the Day” Thank You and a $25 Visa Card. Their quick actions to resolve issues during production made them eligible for this gift of appreciation. Thank you Maricela and Yuliana!
